A Parent Teacher Association(P.T.A.)  plays a very important role in the life of a school.  


Our P.T.A. is called Chalk Ridge Association and its primary aim is to advance the education of pupils in the school.  It does this by


  • Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
  • Engaging in activities or providing facilities and/or equipment which support the school and advance the education of its children.


We do this by organising various events throughout the school year for the benefit of both parents and pupils.


Over the years, Chalk Ridge Association has made many donations towards the cost of equipment for school activities.  In previous years this has helped to buy musical instruments and to equip the IT suite as well as paying for some theatrical performances by visiting performers such as Puppeteers.


The Association has charitable status which helps with our fund-raising activity.


We are always looking for parents/guardians who can help us with our work.  This could be by becoming a committee member or in setting-up, running a stall or just packing away after an event.  We hold an Annual General Meeting each year in September and anyone interested in getting involved should ask at the School’s Reception to be put in touch with a current member.
