Senior Lunchtime Supervisor

Chalk Ridge Primary School is set in a residential area in the district of Brighton Hill in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We are looking to appoint a Senior Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly team of lunchtime staff who really work hard to make lunchtimes in our school enjoyable.

 

This post may suit parents returning to work or those looking for opportunities to start a career working with children.

 

This post is offered on a permanent basis starting as soon as possible.

 

Duties include:

  • ensuring the safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour of our children
  • engaging with children during lunchtime
  • supervising children while they eat
  • dealing with minor first aid
  • managing lunchtime assistants
  • communicating effectively with a range of staff in school

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team.

 

Our Learning Support Assistants work in close partnership with class teachers to deliver lessons that support all children. It is anticipated that in this role the successful candidate will provide 1 to 1 support and group work for children in our classes.

 

The successful candidate will have the following attributes;

  • Enjoy working with children, building positive relationships in a calm, empathetic way.
  • Have obtained Maths and English qualifications to GCSE Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent.
  • Be committed to the highest possible levels of achievement for every pupil.
  • Be cheerful, flexible and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
  • Show initiative within the role and have good time management skills.
  • Be a hard-working team player, able to work closely with teachers and other adults within the classroom to ensure the best for all our pupils.
  • Have the patience and the resourcefulness to support and inspire our children with their learning, helping to unlock their potential.
  • Have a good understanding of child development.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to support children’s behaviour for learning.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to supporting children with specific needs.

We are becoming a THRIVE school and would like to appoint an empathetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our THRIVE team.

 

This role involves working with the Inclusion Team and staff to deliver Thrive interventions to our children who need additional support, both individually and in small groups.

 

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Enjoy working with children, building positive relationships in a calm, empathetic way
  • Have obtained Maths and English qualifications to GCSE Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent
  • Be a trained Thrive Practitioner or be willing to undertake the training

We are looking to appoint an After School Club Leader to oversee and manage our after school provision.

 

Our after school provision is provided to enable parents to meet the balance of work life with excellent child care.  The provision will provide a safe, educational and fun environment where children can relax and play, make new friends and learn new skills.

  • Organised and efficient, with attention to detail, punctual and with a sense of humour.
  • Effective communication skills, flexible and reliable.
  • Experience of working in an educational setting, or with children in a caring capacity such as play-scheme or Early Years settings. 
  • Manage the supervision, care and welfare of children as required.  Ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to.
  • Ability to work in partnership with parents, school staff and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, payments and records relating to children’s needs.  Prepare reports for the Headteacher and School Governors.
  • Manage and motivate other staff to provide excellent provision for the children in their care.
  • Creative and imaginative - able to plan and lead exciting activities and ideas for all primary aged children.
  • Ability to engage children in play-based activities, supervise during snack times and playtimes.
  • Role includes 30 minutes per week planning time outside of normal working hours.
