A child not attending school is considered a safeguarding matter. This is why information about the cause of any absence is always required. If your child is absent you must:

  1. Parents/carers must notify the school if their child is going to be absent/late before 9am, including the child's name, class and reason for absence (e.g. cold, cough, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, sore throat, tummy ache, viral infection etc.). If the reason for absence is not stated, we will call for clarification.
  2. This message can be telephoned to the school office (an answerphone message can be left at any time).
  3. The parent/carer can come in person, or a note can be emailed to school.
